Ceramic window films use advanced ceramic particles to achieve their heat-rejecting properties. These ceramic materials are transparent and have selective properties that allow them to selectively block specific wavelengths of energy, including infrared (IR) radiation. When solar energy, including heat, reaches the film, the particles absorb and scatter the IR radiation. This absorption and scattering process helps to dissipate and reduce the amount of heat transmitted through the glass.
Unlike metalized films, ceramic films do not rely on reflective properties to block heat. Instead, they work by selectively blocking the infrared portion of the solar spectrum while allowing visible light to pass through. This selective blocking of infrared radiation helps to maintain a cooler interior by reducing the heat gain associated with sunlight.
These films provide clear window views while reducing heat and blocking UV rays. It is very suitable to use at storefronts with products displayed or whenever you want to preserve the true colours and details of view.
Solar heat comes from two primary sources, the visible light you can see and the infrared light you can feel. Prestige Series window films use non metallized, multi layer optical film and nano technology to reject up to 97% of the sun's infrared light and reject up to 60% of the heat coming through your windows. These films also reject up to 99.9% of damaging UV rays to reduce fading of your furnishings. Hüper Optik Ceramic Series is our top-of-the-line range of products. The Ceramic Series films created with dual layers Titanium Nitride (TiN) were previously awarded a US patent* for their innovative multi-layer film construct.
The coating of TiN makes the Hüper Optik Ceramic Series films corrosion-resistant compared to standard metalized films. In addition, TiN also makes the films more stable than conventional dyed films that fade with prolonged exposure to the sun.
Additionally, Huper Optik Ceramic Series films provide good to high heat rejection and 99% blocking of harmful UV rays, which cause fading of upholstery, while also minimally interfering with GPS systems and electronics.
